Why choose us

Our team of vets and nurses aim to deliver the highest standards in modern clinical and surgical care. We have fully equipped imaging, treatment and operating facilities. Your pet will receive the very best attention and professional care.  Being an independent local practice we pride ourselves on being able to provide continuity of care rather than bouncing your pet from one vet to another and leaving you never seeing the same vet twice.

Here at Midsomer Veterinary Centre we provide:
  • A full range of surgical procedures, diagnostic investigations and medical treatments.
  • A digital X-ray system which not only provides better quality images than conventional film x-ray machines do but also allows us to rapidly email the images to specialists should we need a second opinion.
  • Ultrasound scanning.
  • Endoscopy.
  • ECG and blood pressure monitoring.
  • Advanced anaesthetic monitoring with capnography, pulse oximitry, ECG and blood pressure measurement.
  • On site laboratory services with biochemistry and haematology suite providing an extensive range of test results within minutes
  • Dentistry with dental X-ray. We have the facility to offer in-house referrals for advanced dental treatments such as root canal therapy from a visiting veterinary surgeon.

Visiting Specialists and Advanced Practitioners

Should your pet require more advanced investigation or treatment we are please to regularly call visiting Advanced Practitioners and Specialists to visit our practice enabling us to provide ultrasound, orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures that would normally require travel to a referral centre. For those cases that we are not able to provide treatment in-house, we have good relationships with a range of referral centres to help your pet get the best treatment available.
